ESSE Care recently participated in The Women’s Health Revolution, an event in Greenwich, Connecticut, hosted by Penny Goffman of THATPENNY | CONNECT and powered by ESSE Care. The event, held at Townhouse Greenwich, brought together more than 160 women for an honest, science-backed conversation about women’s health, prevention, hormones, fertility, menopause, metabolism, longevity, advocacy, and whole-person care.
The event was recently featured in Greenwich Lifestyle in an article titled “Inside Greenwich’s Most Important Conversation on Women’s Health” and was also highlighted in Darien New Canaan Lifestyle, underscoring the growing community interest in more nuanced, proactive conversations about women’s health.
A Community Conversation Designed to Encourage Transparency
The Women’s Health Revolution invited attendees to move beyond surface-level advice and engage directly with physicians who specialize in complex, often overlooked areas of women’s health. The program included an elegant brunch and networking hour, a physician-led panel discussion, and time for attendees to connect with doctors and care teams for questions, conversation, and education.
Physician Panel: Science-Backed Answers for Real-Life Questions
The featured panel was moderated by Penny Goffman and included Dr. Karli Provost Goldstein, a minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon and founder of ESSE Care; Dr. Alicia Robbins, a board-certified OB/GYN and certified perimenopause and menopause specialist; and Dr. Tania Elliott, a board-certified internist and allergist/immunologist focused on prevention, health education, and healthcare innovation.
The panel discussion centered on the kinds of health questions many women carry privately but do not always have the opportunity to ask openly. Together, Dr. Goldstein, Dr. Robbins, and Dr. Elliott addressed:
- Perimenopause and menopause
- Hormone changes
- Fertility and secondary infertility
- Endometriosis
- Metabolic health
- GLP-1 medications
- Sexual health
- Sleep
- Stress
- Patient advocacy
The conversation was direct and practical but also validating. Symptoms that are often minimized, dismissed, or treated as inevitable were reframed as signals worth understanding more deeply.
Dr. Goldstein brought a root-cause lens to endometriosis, pelvic pain, complex gynecologic conditions, and infertility, emphasizing that patients deserve answers beyond “unexplained” diagnoses when symptoms or fertility challenges persist.
“I see patients that have been going through fertility treatments for six to eight years, and no one has done a pelvic MRI or looked into the root cause of what’s happening in their pelvis,” said Dr. Goldstein during the panel. “That’s a big problem. There are a lot of things that can be explained that could be happening in the anatomy of the pelvis.”
Across the discussion, a clear theme emerged: women should not have to navigate confusing symptoms, conflicting health information, or outdated medical assumptions alone. The physicians encouraged attendees to ask better questions, understand their bodies more fully, and feel empowered to seek clinicians who listen, investigate, and personalize care.

Women’s health is increasingly at the center of public conversation, but many patients still encounter gaps in education, diagnosis, and access to specialized care. Women’s health topics are often discussed too late, too briefly, or only after years of frustration. Events like The Women’s Health Revolution help change that by creating a space where medical expertise, lived experience, and community support can come together.
For ESSE Care, this event reflected a larger movement toward more proactive, integrative, and patient-centered care, one that recognizes the complexity of women’s bodies and the need for collaboration across specialties. By bringing these conversations into a community setting, the event helped normalize questions that too many women have been taught to ignore and reinforced the idea that women deserve care that is both scientifically rigorous and deeply compassionate.
