Review of Technique in a Case of Suspected Recurrent Ovarian Torsion with Elongated Adnexa

Dr. Karli Goldstein and colleagues present an AAGL 2018 case report on utero-ovarian ligament plication for suspected recurrent ovarian torsion with elongated adnexa.

Dr. Karli Provost Goldstein and colleagues present an AAGL 2018 Global Congress case report describing the laparoscopic technique of utero-ovarian ligament plication in a patient with suspected recurrent ovarian torsion and elongated adnexa. The video demonstrates detorsion followed by ligament plication — a fertility-preserving approach that shortens the utero-ovarian ligament to reduce ovarian mobility and help prevent recurrent torsion, particularly in younger patients without adnexal masses.
