Dr. Leigh Rosen and colleagues at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai publish a randomized controlled trial in the Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology comparing memory foam pads versus bean bags with shoulder braces for patient positioning during steep-Trendelenburg gynecologic laparoscopic surgery, measuring both patient displacement and postoperative extremity symptoms.
