Outpatient Hysterectomy: A Quick Recovery with Minimally Invasive Surgery

Did you know that you can go home the same day after having a minimally invasive hysterectomy? This procedure can be completed within a few hours of anesthesia, allowing you to rest in your own bed that night.

Did you know that you can go home the same day after having a minimally invasive hysterectomy? This procedure can be completed within a few hours of anesthesia, allowing you to rest in your own bed that night.

In most cases, if you feel up to it, you can go home the same day. Of course, this depends on the patient and how they feel in the recovery room. If you are nauseous or in severe pain, you will not be rushed out of the hospital.

Minimally invasive robotic/laparoscopic hysterectomies are performed using small incisions, with specimens removed through the vagina. Patients are often able to return to work within two weeks if they choose.
