Endometriosis
Endometriosis is a health condition that can affect the lives of patients born with a uterus from their teenage years through and beyond menopause. It is when cells similar to those of the endometrial cavity (or womb/intra uterine lining cells) grow outside the uterus in abnormal places. They look identical to endometrial cells on the microscope but they do not come from there in most cases.
While it was once believed to be isolated to the pelvis we now know these cells and growths can occur in a wide range of places in the body. In advanced cases it may be “extra-pelvic” and involve the diaphragm, lung cavity, kidney outlets and other places. Diagnosis maybe linked to cyclical symptoms but some patients may have started cyclical and then advanced to a daily struggle they must navigate.

- Meeting with Dr Goldstein with pelvic sonogram – 1 hour
- Planning with your fertility Doctor/team
- Or concierge referral to Endometriosis specialized fertility team
- Pre-pregnancy and pregnancy supplement guidance
- Coordination with your fertility team for optimal timing for cycles
- Concierge referral to acupuncture and other therapists needed

Hormone Balancing
Yearly Hormone concierge package - $4,000
- 2 Visits
- First in-person visit with sonogram, pap and mammogram order – 1 hour
- Follow up visit for hormone adjustment – 45 min
- Basic supplement and nutrition advice – 1 referral
- Customized 90 day refills – 4 annually
- Follow up labs q 3 months with email review for patients on testosterone

Yearly Hormone and Wellness concierge package - $8,000
- 2 Visits
- First visit with Dr Goldstein in person sonogram and pap and mammogram order1 hour
- Follow up visit for hormone adjustment with Joanie – 45 min
- Customized 90 day refills – 4 annually
- Follow up labs q 3 months with email review for patients on testosterone
- Nutrition/supplement – 1 referral
- Acupuncture/Chinese medicine visits with Lida Ahmady – 2 sessions
- Hypnotherapy sessions with Junod Etienne – 2 sessions
- Nutrition sessions with Lisa Lisiewski – 2 sessions
- Visits with pelvic floor therapist Alexandra Burtman of Solstice – 2 sessions

At ESSE we believe your hormones are not just a stagnant number. Hormones constantly fluctuate throughout your lifespan. When hormones are measured solely in menopause we have no idea what baseline you started with or what your “ideal” felt like. We encourage having a hormone baseline when you are feeling at your best in order to know what that snapshot looks like (Estrogen, progesterone, Thyroid function, testosterone, Adrenal function, and important vitamins).
Even though you may be told your hormones are “within range and fine” they may not be the range you thrive at. It’s important to understand you can experience hormone swings at any age and there are options besides the birth control pill. At ESSE we will walk you through all the many options there are and work together to come up with a customized plan for you. Dr Goldstein is passionate about the lack of education about balanced hormone replacement in endometriosis patients. A condition that often causes early menopause either through surgery or decreased ovarian reserve. We understand the difficulty in this and will evaluate the best balanced approach in order to not stimulate disease recurrence.

You don’t understand why your friends aren’t home in bed with a heat pack when their “flo” comes into town. The first visit doesn’t go well. You leave in tears because the Dr says painful periods are normal and you must just want birth control for your skin. He tells you your retroverted uterus will likely leave you unable to carry children. You leave the office in tears.
