It's a new day in pelvic healthcare.

First Office Visit

At ESSE Care, we prioritize a supportive and respectful environment for your healthcare journey. Our team, led by Dr. Karli Provost Goldstein offers personalized medical care to ensure you feel informed, comfortable, and valued from start to finish.

What to bring to your first visit.

Your first visit is an important step towards understanding and managing your health needs. To make this as smooth as possible, please bring the following:

OB/GYN and Specialist Records:

  • Record from most recent OB/GYN visit
  • If over 40 or high-risk recent mammogram/pap smear results
  • Records from any specialist for endometriosis or hormones or IVF (most recent visit)

*Please note due to patient volume we ask you to streamline and organize these to less than 50 pages. We cannot review hospital charts of more than 200 pages. Please take out the pertinent files above.

Fertility and Hormone Treatment:

  • Recent fertility treatment records
  • Recent hormone treatment records

Lab Work, Ultrasounds, and Imaging Tests:

  • Any lab work, ultrasound, and imaging test results from the last 6 months to 1 year
  • Key requirements:
    • Imaging within the last year
    • Labs related to hormones within the last year

Surgical Records:

  • Surgical OR reports from any year
  • Pathology reports from any year
  • Surgical pictures from any year

If you have an extensive medical history, please make an outline of your symptoms for ESSE Care.

  • Include key symptoms and when they occur during your cycle
  • If symptoms happen cyclically or only certain days try to note it down during the months before your visit

What to expect at your first visit.

We are here not only to treat but to listen. Here’s what you can expect during your initial consultation:

You’ll be greeted by our friendly staff who are here to make you feel at ease.

We take the time to thoroughly understand your health background, which is essential for personalized care.

Our detailed assessment helps us tailor our approach to suit your specific needs.

Possible gynecological exam, which may include a pelvic sonogram, all performed with your comfort as our priority. Note that these can be deferred for patients who do not desire them or are adolescents. A chaperone will always be provided, and a transabdominal sonogram can be done before the visit at an imaging facility if needed.

Dr. Karli Provost Goldstein will discuss your treatment options, focusing on what works best for you with specific guidelines and follow-up plans.

Additional diagnostic assessments.

Should further information be needed:

We use state-of-the-art technology for ultrasound, MRI, and CT scans to provide the most accurate and comprehensive diagnostic results.

Our team ensures that your insurance is in-network with the imaging facility used to reduce out of pocket expenses.

If you would like to use an imaging facility closer to home we can have an expert re-read if needed.

Each diagnostic test is chosen based on your unique symptoms and medical history. We consider previous tests to ensure a precise and tailored approach to your care plan, optimizing your treatment and outcomes.

Emotional Support: You're Not Alone

We encourage you to bring someone you trust to your initial consultation—whether it’s a significant other, a family member, or a close friend. Having support is crucial, and we welcome your loved ones to accompany you as you begin this path to better health. The focus however will always be on you and your story with time given to them for questions as well. Please keep in mind who is most supportive and you feel most comfortable with intimate detail. They could also be brought in briefly after your exam to meet the Dr and go over the plan.

Taking notes is not necessary, we are happy to provide you with an outlined plan from the Dr after the visit along with any printed guidelines she recommends.

At ESSE Care, every step you take towards recovery is made with confidence, knowing that you have a team of caring professionals by your side. We look forward to welcoming you and being a part of your health journey.
